Hot, sunny and smiles all around

As we bask in the sporting successes of the weekend (British Lions and Andy Murray’s magnificent victory this afternoon) we sit and reflect on what has been an amazing, interesting and informative first 11 days in business.

We’re amazed and delighted to have seen so many of you coming through the doors, to see us and to sample the delights on offer in our Cafe. We really didn’t expect to be as busy as we have been in these early days and we thank you very much for your custom. We hope that you’ve enjoyed your time at The Potting Shed and we hope to see you again soon.

Our home-made cakes, soft whip (Mr Whippy style) ice cream and our fresh coffees have certainly been the most popular items, with our local bacon/sausage/egg breakfasts coming a close second. We’re not far away from launching the full menu now – hopefully end of this week.

The Farm Shop is also getting closer to opening – again, we’re hoping end of this week. We’re focusing on high quality, locally made sausages, great local bacon, home-made Scotch Eggs and a good range of salad dressings and sauces. Plus some seasonal vegetables, fresh bread and delicious local milk.

And the Play Area should also be complete this week (it’s all happening!). Fence should be going up within the next few days, then the woodchip and play equipment arrives middle of the week. I think we’re just as excited as the children! Anyone for a game of giant Jenga?…

Doors open again at 9am tomorrow morning – if you’re around, come on over!
